Endorsed by the Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB), this coherent scheme ensures the progressive development of skills throughout. Each chapter introduces and covers a skill, providing approximately three weeks of teaching material. Scaffolded activities give pupils the opportunity to practise new skills. Challenging comprehension activities across spelling, punctuation, and grammar (SPAG), writing, speaking, and listening are included with mark allocations. 'Joining the dots' segments help to group and apply previously learned skills. Emphasis is placed on spelling, grammar, and writing skills to develop written accuracy.
