Reading Planet - Mulan and other Legendary Chinese Tales - Level 8: Fiction (Supernova)

About this book

Once there was a time when ten gleaming hot suns stood high in the sky. These burning spheres of gas and dust were the sons of the Jade Emperor, over whom he had lost all control ... Mulan and Other Legendary Chinese Tales brings together four inspiring tales of love, loss, betrayal, courage, conflict, and loyalty. Travel with us beyond the Black Mountains, where you'll see one girl's courage as she breaks tradition and shows us the importance of being true to ourselves. We'll cross the bridge of magpies over the Heavenly River and discover how one family's devotion softened the Jade Emperor's heart. You may even meet a colourful caterpillar along the way and learn how a man with the head of a dog marries a princess.
